Scene7 and ATG Partner to Deliver Visually Rich eCommerce Solutions

NOVATO, CA - MARCH 7, 2005 - Scene7®, provider of the leading on-demand rich media platform, today announced a joint sales and co-marketing partnership with e-commerce solution provider ATG (Art Technology Group, Inc., NASDAQ: ARTG), whose technology powers leading e-commerce sites and corresponding e-marketing and customer service. Under the terms of the agreement, Scene7 and ATG will combine sales and marketing efforts to deliver leading visually rich commerce solutions to retailers and manufacturers.

ATG delivers innovative software to help high-end consumer-facing companies create a richer, more adaptive interactive experience for their customers and partners throughout the lifecycle of marketing, commerce, and customer service, and across the Web, e-mail and call centers. The partnership with Scene7 will enable these companies to add enhanced capabilities such as visually targeted emails, dynamic imaging (zoom, pan, color swatching, spin), eCatalogs, and visual product configurators to create an immersive, visually impactful e-commerce experience. Both companies offer on-demand and license software solutions, offering clients full flexibility in deployment options. Recent joint customers include Road Runner Sports and Restoration Hardware.

“Our clients demand an online commerce and e-service experience that is truly personalized, targeted, relevant and leading-edge as they strive to continue to build a loyal and profitable customer base, said Cliff Conneighton, senior vice president of marketing, ATG. Scene7’s dynamic rich media platform combined with our multi-channel, market-leading commerce solution allows us to deliver a consistent, seamless and visually compelling customer experience unsurpassed in the market today.”

Today, Scene7 stands alone as the first vendor to provide a “back-office” system for publishing rich media to websites and other media. In contrast to outsourced solutions, this self-service platform empowers Scene7 clients to control the creative outcome, preview and manage the production process, eliminating third-party service and change fees and keeping quality levels high. All rich media is dynamically served via proprietary image server technology, providing high performance and complete scalability across any volume of content for any sized enterprise. Rich imagery is automatically applied across an entire website by simply adding a URL command into a page template that converts master images dynamically to any size, format or resolution.

“We look forward to building a strong relationship with ATG,” said Doug Mack, CEO of Scene7. “ATG’s approach to the market is in complete alignment with ours - to give clients compelling, relevant commerce solutions that will drive their business while delivering a superior ROI.”
