Consumer orders at flower and gift retailer FTD Group Inc. grew 14% in the Valentine`s Day period this year, compared to the same period last year, the company reports. In addition, the company reports that the Florist Business segment experienced strong growth over the prior year`s Valentine`s Day season.

“We were able to generate strong revenue growth while keeping marketing costs in line with our expectations," said Michael J. Soenen, president and CEO.

FTD experienced a flat Q4 relative to the prior year after it chose not to participate in bidding wars on search keywords.

"We are reiterating the company`s fiscal year 2006 revenue range of approximately $450 million to $460 million, net income and EBITDA targets of approximately $23 million and $67.5 million,” Soenen said.
