Mrs. Fields Famous Brands has chosen Junction Solutions’ Multi-Channel Retail, Food and Beverage and Business Intelligence solutions for its gifting subsidiary, Mrs. Fields Gifts Inc.

Mrs. Fields Gifts will use the retail solution to perform major operations, including order entry, customer service, fulfillment and inventory management, purchase orders and inventory receipts and financials. It will use the food and beverage solution to handle food-specific needs for its gourmet cookies and baked goods, including recipes, inventory control and production processes, and for facilitating compliance with critical food safety requirements. The Junctions Solutions platform, based on Microsoft Corp.’s Dynamics AX (formerly Axapta) technology, will provide integrated flow of sales data and customer activity across multiple channels of web, store and call center, a spokeswoman for Junction Solutions says.

“This is part of an overall effort to continually improve the experience our customers have with Mrs. Fields Gifts,” said the retailer’s president, Greg Berglund. “In this area and others, we are taking advantage of some of the most advanced processes available to make sending our unique gifts as simple and easy as possible for the customer.”

Mrs. Fields is the first to simultaneously use both the multi-channel retail and the food and beverage solutions. Mrs. Fields Gifts offers more than 200 different gift items, including premium baked cookies and brownies, fresh fruit baskets and a selection of gourmet snacks and treats.
