E-commerce sales at J. Crew continue to grow at a healthy pace. For the first nine months of 2005, web sales grew 44% over the prior year while total sales grew 23%.
E-commerce sales at J. Crew Group Inc. continue to grow at a healthy pace. For the first nine months of 2005, web sales grew 44% to $108.1 million from $75 million in the same period in 2004 while total sales grew 23% to $663.2 million from $540.5 million for the period January through September 2004.
For the first nine months of 2005, the web represented 16% of total sales compared to the prior year’s 14%.
J. Crew, No. 65 in the Internet Retailer Top 400 Guide to Retail Web Sites, expects to launch a new e-commerce site in the first quarter of 2006. The new site, JCrewFactory.com, will offer discounted J. Crew merchandise for online bargain shoppers. Each year J. Crew’s web site attracts about 48 million visits.
