Nine of top consumer electronics sites increased visits in November

Nine of the top 10 multi-category computer and consumer electronics sites experienced an increase in visits in November, according to Nielsen/NetRatings. Radio Shack led the group, with visits increasing 106% to 3.7 million visits.

Nine of the top 10 multi-category computer and consumer electronics sites experienced an increase in visits in November, according to Nielsen/NetRatings. Radio Shack led the group, with visits increasing 106% to 3.7 million visits from 1.8 million in November 2004.

TigerDirect.com experienced the second largest increase, with visits rising 81% to 3.8 million from 2.1 million a year earlier; followed by CircuitCity.com, up 69% to 13.2 million from 7.8 million; OSTG, up 67% to 4 million from 2.4 million; CompUSA.com, up 31% to 3.8 million from 2.9 million; BestBuy.com, up 30% to 17.2 million from 13.2 million; Sony Electronics, up 17% to 4.8 million from 4.1 million; Sony, up 13% to 3.6 million from 3.2 million; and eBay Electronics, up 12% to 11.4 million from 10.2 million.

BestBuy.com had the most traffic in November, followed by CircuitCity.com, eBay Electronics, eBay Computers (6.7 million), Sony Electronics, OSTG, CompUSA.com, TigerDirect.com, Radio Shack, and Sony.

The top 10 multi-category computers and consumer electronics sites, ranked by time per visit, were Geeks.com, 18 minutes, 14 seconds; CDW, 18 minutes, 9 seconds; eBay Electronics, 16 minutes, 31 seconds; Simple Star, 13 minutes, 59 seconds; TigerDirect.com, 13 minutes, 55 seconds; eBay Computers, 11 minutes, 54 seconds; CircuitCity.com, 11 minutes, 32 seconds; Sony, 11 minutes, 17 seconds; BestBuy.com, 10 minutes 25 seconds, and Crutchfield.com, 9 minutes, 43 seconds.

Also in November, NetFlix Inc. had the most online ad impressions among the top 10 retail goods and services advertisers, according to Nielsen’s AdRelevance report. The leading companies and their number of impressions in millions are:
