Digitally Unique expects 2005 web sales to double

2005 web sales at DigitallyUnique.com, which sells computer products and home electronics, will reach about $14 million, up from $7.1 million in 2004, says president and CEO Mark Yeaman.

Digitally Unique Inc. is on track to double its e-commerce sales in 2005. Web sales at DigitallyUnique.com, which sells computer products and home electronics, will reach about $14 million, up from $7.1 million in 2004, says president and CEO Mark Yeaman.

Sales are increasing because of investments Digitally Unique, No. 331 in the Internet Retailer Top 400 Guide to Retail Web Sites, is making in its call center and customer service operations, Yeaman says. In the past year, Digitally Unique has also added nearly 25,000 SKUs, particularly in consumer electronics. “We’ve been working especially close with our manufacturers to add more inventory,” Yeaman says.

Digitally Unique also recently received a private placement of about $2.3 million, Yeaman says. Neidiger, Tucker, Bruner Inc., a Denver brokerage and investment banking firm, served as underwriter.

“It’s been a good year and we are in a growth mode,” Yeaman says.
