The Sportsman’s Guide posts Q3 e-commerce sales of $37 million

Web sales at The Sportsman’s Guide Inc. totaled about $37 million in the third quarter, up 8.8% from web sales of around $34 million for the prior year. Overall the web accounted for about 60% of the company’s total sales of $61.5 million for Q3.

Web sales at The Sportsman’s Guide Inc. totaled about $37 million in the third quarter, an increase of 8.8% from web sales of around $34 million for the prior year.

Overall the web accounted for about 60% of the company’s total sales of $61.5 million for the third quarter versus about 60% of total sales of $57 million for the third quarter of 2003.

“We continued to generate high levels of Internet-related sales as they once again totaled nearly 60% of total catalog and Internet sales for the quarter,” says Sportsman’s Guide CEO Gregory R. Binkley.

A key factor in Internet growth at The Sportsman’s Guide is the company’s acquisition of The Golf Warehouse in 2004. “We saw net sales growth at both The Golf Warehouse and The Sportsman’s Guide with TGW`s growth especially strong,” Binkley says.

The Sportsman’s Guide is No. 76 in the Internet Retailer Top 400 Guide to Retail Web Sites.
