Partnership will optimize implementation of Soft Solutions’ ibs Suite and build on combined organizations’ strengths for retailers worldwide.

Paris-October 13, 2005-Soft Solutions, a global leader in merchandise and marketing solutions, has formed a partnership with leading international retail consultancy group Kurt Salmon Associates (KSA), under which KSA will provide business process engineering and best practices consulting for clients implementing Soft Solutions’ ibs Suite in France, Germany and the United Kingdom. While the partnership will initially focus on these three European countries, Soft Solutions and KSA are expanding it into other major retail markets with specific focus on North America. Soft Solutions has built its market leadership on a thorough knowledge of the business of its clients.

Headquartered in Lille, France, the company also has offices in the UK, United States and in Lebanon where its product development and research lab is located. “Retailers who work with Soft Solutions and KSA will benefit from the outstanding combination of skill sets that this partnership provides,” said Jeremy Hollows, Managing Director of the company’s operations in the United Kingdom and Northern Europe. “KSA brings significant depth of knowledge and experience in the business of retailing, with particular emphasis on proven business processes and practices, and Soft Solutions’ products and business expertise are unique and notable in the entire merchandise management cycle for retailers. Here you have two businesses which focus on retail and the partnership has forged itself.”

KSA employs several hundred professionals in Europe, the majority of whom are dedicated to the retail industry. In this partnership, KSA will compliment Soft Solutions’ product and business leadership by applying its retail expertise both before and during solution implementations. KSA’s client portfolio includes leading European retailers Fnac and Castorama, which are also Soft Solutions’ clients.

“The functional depth of the Soft Solutions’ ibs Suite has amazed us,” declared Betrand Jauffret, KSA Vice President. “We have found in their solutions the tools our clients need to implement our recommendations and strategies.” The level of commitment to delivery that Soft Solutions brings into each client engagement will insure that expected results will be achieved. “Their project methodology maximizes ROI and integrates well into KSA’s “acceleration program” approach, the purpose of which is to deliver tangible and measurable results to the business,” adds Betrand.
