NEW YORK – September 12, 2005 – Harte-Hanks, Inc. (NYSE:HHS), a worldwide, direct and targeted marketing company, has named industry leader George S. Wiedemann as a managing director for direct marketing, located in New York. The position is new in the company.
Wiedemann is former president and chief executive officer of Rewards Network, a loyalty company; former president and chief executive officer of Responsys, a commercial e-mail platform company; and founder, former chairman and chief executive officer of Grey Direct, a company he grew to more than $1 billion in billings and a global agency network of 38 companies. He also is a former chairman of the (U.S.) Direct Marketing Association (1999-2000) and a 15-year member of the DMA Board of Directors. He began his career at Time-Warner and Claritas, an analytics company that was sold to the media firm VNU.
