GoldenGate Streamlines Operations, Overstock.com Plans for Future Growth Overstock.com will roll out the project in several phases. Initially, as Overstock.com upgrades from Oracle 9i RAC to Oracle 10g, GoldenGate will facilitate system migrations with zero downtime. Overstock.com will also standardize on GoldenGate for high availability and disaster recovery on its online production sites replacing home-grown scripts and batch processes for added reliability and efficiencies. And GoldenGate will serve a major role in real-time data warehousing for the online retailer: moving data into a Teradata warehouse for performing in-depth customer analytics.
Across the organization, GoldenGate will provide the foundation for Overstock.com to improve operations and better serve its customers.
