Furniture e-retailer Broadspan hires former Wine.com exec as VP, marketing

Broadspan Commerce LLC, which sells home furnishings through DirectlyHome.com, TotalBedroom.com and other web sites, has named Jay Shaffer, a former Wine.com and Ofoto executive, as vice president of marketing. He will be responsible for developing and executing marketing initiatives to accelerate Broadspan’s growth.

Shaffer most recently was vice president, customer experience for Wine.com, where he was in charge of marketing and customer acquisition programs. Before that he was director, customer acquisition at Ofoto, an online photography service.
