Oracle Corp. has appointed Dan Stoks, former group vice president of Oracle’s technology sales for North America-West, to lead sales and consulting as senior vice president at its Retek Global Business Unit.

“Dan Stoks has achieved some of the highest revenue growth for Oracle since he joined the company in 2003,” said Duncan Angove, general manager of the Retek Global Business Unit. “Focusing Stoks’ talents on the retail industry will enable us to deepen our market share while delivering the most comprehensive retail software solution set seen to date.”

Oracle acquired Retek earlier this year for about $670 million to combine Retek’s store and back-office retail operations technology with Oracle’s web-based E-Business Suite.

Oracle also announced recently that it has expanded its list of retailer clients with the addition of Duckwall-Alco Stores, Too Brand, Burlington Coat Factory Warehouse, Giant Eagle and Gianni Versace SPA.
