Online sales grow 24% for week ending May 22 to $1.34 billion

Online sales were up 24% for the week ending May 22 over the corresponding week a year ago, reaching $1.34 billion from $1.08 billion, comScore Networks Inc. reports.

By comparison, total retail sales for the week ending May 21 were up 6.6% from the same week a year ago, reports ShopperTrak’s National Retail Sales Estimate.

Online travel sales for week ending May 22 were up 25% to $1.22 billion from $978 million in the corresponding week a year ago, comScore reports.
