Build-A-Bear Workshop names Dennis Sheldon managing director of logistics

Dennis Sheldon, a former distribution executive at Guess and Ann Taylor, will oversee supply chain logistics for web and store operations at Build-A-Bear Workshop, a retailer of customized stuffed animals.

Veteran retail supply chain executive Dennis Sheldon, a former distribution executive at Guess Inc. and Ann Taylor Inc., will oversee supply chain logistics for web and store operations at Build-A-Bear Workshop, a retailer of customized stuffed animals.

"Dennis has in-depth experience in global-retail logistics design, development and operation and is well suited to lead our Logistics Department as we grow our Build-A-Bear Workshop and friends 2B made businesses," said Barry Erdos, president and COO.

Sheldon has joined Build-A-Bear from his former position as president of consultants S2C2 Supply Chain Solutions Inc., which specializes in optimizing global supply networks. Prior to S2C2, Sheldon served in senior management positions at Guess and Ann Taylor. Earlier in his career, he also served in distribution positions at the Stride Rite Corp., Ames Department Stores and Reebok International.
