AdGooRoo, a provider of search engine marketing services, has named Gary Allen as chief technology officer to further develop the company’s technology strategy. Allen is a former CTO of SEM services firm Performics, which is now part of DoubleClick Inc.

"As we continue pushing the envelope for search engine advertising, Gary`s involvement will focus our efforts on improving functionality, scalability and better addressing the needs of larger agencies," said AdGooRoo president and founder Richard Stokes.

At Performics, Allen managed the in-house development of customer-focused e-commerce applications. He also was responsible for the design and development of Performics’ Internet-based marketing platform and services.

Prior to Performics, Allen headed the wireless technology group for ABN AMRO Information Technology Services, where he developed and implemented a three-tiered e-commerce infrastructure.
