Food Market Chain Adopts TeamWorks Platform

AUSTIN, TX - May 3, 2005 - Lombardi Software today announced that Harris Teeter, the large Southeastern food market chain, has selected Lombardi Software’s award-winning TeamWorks platform for its business process management (BPM) needs. Harris Teeter, a subsidiary of Ruddick Corporation, operates 138 food stores in six states and employs nearly 14,000 people.

Harris Teeter’s initial implementation of TeamWorks is to improve the company’s on-going development and management of HR processes. By providing front-end GUI-based processes and reducing the backlog of systems requests, the company is able to drive new efficiencies in numerous HR functions such as hiring, on-boarding and personnel changes. TeamWorks is delivering automatic notifications and work routing that give HR managers real-time visibility into process performance, helping to eliminate bottlenecks.

“Harris Teeter is another example of the many companies who are getting started with BPM in a critical process area, seeing quick results and then looking to implement elsewhere in the organization,” said Rod Favaron, president and chief executive officer of Lombardi Software. “Management at Harris Teeter now has the real-time insight they need to make decisions. And these process improvements will drive improved productivity while reducing costs.”
