Online retail sales up 45% for week ending March 20

Growth in online retail sales came roaring back the week ending March 20, when online sales for were up 45% over the corresponding week a year ago, reaching $1.59 billion from $1.09 billion, comScore Networks Inc. reports.

Growth in online retail sales came roaring back the week ending March 20, when online sales for were up 45% over the corresponding week a year ago, reaching $1.59 billion from $1.09 billion, comScore Networks Inc. reports.

By comparison, total retail sales for the week ending March 19 were up 4.9% from the same week a year ago, reports ShopperTrak’s National Retail Sales Estimate.

Online travel sales for week ending March 20 were up 46% to $1.32 billion from $906 million in the corresponding week a year ago, comScore reports.
