Fiori Belli Inc., an online retailer of artificial flowers and plants, has increased conversion rates by 30% and reduced image production time and costs by 70% using online media management company Scene7’s Infinite Imaging Network, the company reports.

The Infinite Imaging Network is a hosted rich media platform that allows retailers to control their rich media production and publishing with minimal IT investment and support.

“As an online retailer of artificial flowers, we needed to show our wares the best way possible through our only medium-a computer monitor,” said Ed Chavez, technology officer for Fiori Belli. “This meant a tremendous amount of photography was needed to show the intricate details of each product, which strained our available resources. Scene7 has provided us with a simple and very powerful solution to manage all of our imaging needs for both our web site and e-mail communications which has helped us realize an increase in conversions as well as significant time and cost savings.”

Fiori Belli says it implemented Scene7’s hosted rich media platform to publish dynamic image zoom and sizing, offering its customers multiple product views and enabling them to zoom in on product details. “Scene7’s zoom provides our customers with product views not possible with standard photography,” said Chavez. “The customer sees the product the way they want to see it, in any number of ways, instead of being fed images that we think they want to see.”

Scene7 says its capabilities allow Fiori Belli to automatically generate any number of variations from single master images and image commands.

Fiori Belli reports it has reduced its overall image production time and costs by 70% by automating manual image production tasks and reducing the actual number of images under management. “The zooming feature alone negated the need to take multiple shots,” Chavez said, “and dynamic sizing now handles all our external imaging needs. Scene7’s browser-based system gives us a single interface to manage all of our web site imagery.”
