Latest Deployment of ShopperTrak`s Traffic Monitoring Technology to 950 of Wireless Telephone Service Provider`s Retail Locations Completes Multi-Stage Rollout
CHICAGO - March 16, 2005 - ShopperTrak, the world`s leading provider of retail intelligence and opportunity management solutions, today announced the completion of the multi-stage rollout of its advanced retail intelligence solutions for wireless communication products and services provider Cingular. The latest deployment to the final 950 stores in the Cingular chain, gives ShopperTrak a presence in all 2100 of the company`s retail locations including the AT&T; wireless sites.
The rollout, performed over the past 6 weeks, includes the installation of ShopperTrak`s Orbit retail traffic technology devices in the entranceways of all of Cingular`s stores. The company currently uses the data culled from ShopperTrak`s technology to better understand customer traffic patterns, but plans to completely integrate its solutions into the company culture within the next year. This will include combining ShopperTrak`s intelligence with Cingular`s point-of-sale data to calculate each store`s conversion rate. By knowing each location`s conversion rate (the number of transactions in the store divided by the number of potential customers over a certain period), the company will be able to more accurately measure the performance of each store and make appropriate business decisions. It will also use ShopperTrak`s traffic data to optimize its labor force in each store, adjusting staffing for key selling hours, days and seasons, as well as using the information to more easily gauge the effectiveness of advertising and promotional campaigns.
