- Introduction of page tagging, a unique hybrid data collection mode, support for MySQL, an SMB edition, and customizable PPC analysis, solidify version 7.5 as the leading Web analytics option for any enterprise -

North Kingstown, RI - October 5, 2004 - Sane Solutions, developers of the NetTracker(R) line of Web analytics software, today announced the availability of NetTracker 7.5. The NetTracker 7.5 product line addresses the unique Web analytics demands of virtually any user in any enterprise.

Sane Solutions introduces a new page-tagging data collection option in version 7.5 to meet the needs of users who prefer, or are limited to, this method for analyzing their Web sites. In addition, unlike other Web analytics vendors with dual page-tagging and log file analysis data collection options, NetTracker 7.5 allows users to employ a unique, powerful hybrid mode. The hybrid mode allows users to leverage the best of both collection mechanisms. Reliable, accurate visit counts provided by NetTracker advanced log file analysis can be augmented by page tags to capture additional client-side information such as screen resolution, or to track "events" such as visitors adding or removing items from their shopping carts.

"While Sane Solutions has been a long-standing log file analysis company, we acknowledge that there are sites for which you do not have access to the Web server log files. For instance if your site is virtually hosted, if you are a search engine optimization (SEO) company, or if you use Yahoo Merchant for the e-commerce portion of your site, for example, you may not have easy access to your log files. NetTracker page-tagging data collection allows you to work around this issue," said Frank Faubert, CTO of Sane Solutions. "We are pleased to bring the power of NetTracker`s advanced Web analytics features to sites which need or prefer to use page tagging for Web data collection."

Five new progressive marketing campaign analysis reports, also available in all editions of NetTracker 7.5, address the needs of campaign-centric Web analytics users. New campaign reports provide marketers with rolled up reporting to drill down to their online campaign responses by channel type, individual channel, channel segment (ad variations or groups within that channel), and in the case of search engine marketing by pay-per-click (PPC) keyword.

"NetTracker 7.5 facilitates customizable PPC analysis by allowing users to compare PPC clickthroughs and conversions by PPC vendor, category, ad variation, text ad versus image ad, search engine ad versus content network ad and by paid keyword versus the actual broad-matched query employed by a visitor," said C. Decker Marquis, Marketing Manager at Sane Solutions. "NetTracker 7.5`s campaign tracking allows marketing managers to reach more intelligent reporting for making decisions on PPC marketing. And, NetTracker 7.5`s e-mail alerts even allow users to automatically receive an e-mail if the number of clickthroughs from any paid keyword drops below a certain level, so they know when to check their bid and position."

For small and medium-sized businesses with sophisticated Web analytics demands, NetTracker 7.5 offers a new specially-catered product in the NetTracker line, NetTracker SMB. NetTracker SMB meets the demands of these businesses by providing scalability and open Web data warehouse access while maintaining a starting price of $7,500, to address small and medium-sized businesses` cost-conscious budgets.

Both NetTracker SMB and eBusiness customers benefit from NetTracker 7.5`s new database support which allows them to leverage the affordable, open-source MySQL database. Regardless of which of the four supported relational databases NetTracker 7.5 eBusiness customers use, they will experience NetTracker`s most dramatic increase in import performance to date. NetTracker 7.5 eBusiness breaks previously-impressive performance levels with a 50% increase in scalability when importing Web data from high-traffic sites.

Enterprises seeking to identify potentially undesirable Internet usage by employees can purchase NetTracker 7.5`s new data conduit for SurfControl for use with NetTracker proxy server and firewall profiles. The data conduit categorizes the restricted or otherwise undesirable Web sites viewed by employees on the Web, in the NetTracker Site Category Summary.

"Forrester Research`s most recent Web analytics report cites Sane Solutions` NetTracker as `sporting all-around competence at a bargain price`. The NetTracker 7.5 product line strengthens that notion by matching the very individualistic demands of any Web analytics user in any enterprise," said Jim Rose, CEO of Sane Solutions. "We are pleased to provide both current and future NetTracker customers with expanded Web data collection, relational database support, and product line options to choose from."
