Online flower site FTD.com has launched a redesigned web site that shows greater floral detail and features improved navigation capabilities.

The redesign, which was conducted by FTD’s internal staff, allows floral arrangements to be displayed in a larger frame and uses different backgrounds to set off the floral detail. “This allows us to show the real beauty of each arrangement,” an FTD spokeswoman says.

Additionally, FTD has improved navigation to make it easier for customers to use keywords to view specific arrangements. Customers can sort by price, flower type or holidays. Additionally, FTD.com has added categories, including one that shows which arrangements can be obtained on a same-day delivery basis and which have a freshness guarantee.

FTD first launched a web site in 1994.
