Boston - September 13, 2004 - In an industry-leading move that helps call-center operations improve efficiency and slash return rates for catalogs and packages, software vendors QAS and Ecometry have integrated their products, combining QAS`s QuickAddress Pro address-management software with Ecometry`s Commerce Suite of business applications.

The integrated product, QuickAddress for Ecometry, has already been deployed by 35 catalogers and retailers and allows front- and back-end operations for multi-channel and direct-commerce companies to operate more efficiently. Call center and data entry operators use the QuickAddress product within the familiar Ecometry user interface to verify new and existing addresses against U.S Postal Service records, while the customer is still on the phone. Because the system verifies the address data as it is entered into a database, it dramatically improves dataquality and reduces the number of returned and undeliverable items. The system also works over websites, ensuring that only valid, correctly formatted addresses enter the user`s database.

Unlike other address management products that require significant dedicated IT resources and days or even weeks to deploy, companies can typically implement QuickAddress for Ecometry in less than one hour.

Both are using the solution to validate the integrity of customer information through their websites and call centers.

Massage Warehouse initially chose QuickAddress for Ecometry to avoid delivery-service surcharges, but found that they also enjoyed an increase in data-entry speed, leading to boosts in productivity and customer satisfaction. By auto-filling address fields directly from USPS data files, QuickAddress speeds up their order entries by as much as 20 seconds, and in turn, shortens call-center queues. As a result, sales people have seen a huge jump in orders taken over the phone - 10-20 percent in the first week.
