NEWLY MERGED BE FREE/COMMISSION JUNCTION PROGRESSES WITH UNIFIED BRAND

Santa Barbara, Calif. - March 23, 2004 - Two pioneers in the online performance marketing arena, Be Free and Commission Junction, have decided to unite their companies under a single brand, and have selected the Commission Junction name to represent the unified entity. The Commission Junction brand will continue to reflect the unique characteristics of each company by focusing on its combined technical strength and service commitment to high quality performance marketing solutions. Be Free and Commission Junction were merged in December 2003 when Be Free`s parent company ValueClick (Nasdaq: VCLK) acquired Commission Junction.

"Uniting our company under a single identity is an important step as we build on our leadership position in the affiliate marketing industry. Both Be Free and Commission Junction are strong brands, and choosing one allows us to focus our energies on delivering results for our clients," said Jeff Pullen, general manager of Commission Junction. "Our clients have come to expect a high degree of service and success from their relationships with us and we remain committed to delivering exactly that."

Historically, both Be Free and Commission Junction have made significant contributions to the growth in online marketing, particularly in affiliate marketing and most recently in search. Be Free focused primarily on providing customized solutions targeting large retail clients, while Commission Junction built a broad network of more than 1200 advertisers in numerous industries and tens of thousands of publishers.

Under the combined entity, the companies` complementary proprietary technologies will be integrated on a single collaboration platform that will continue to meet the needs of the growing pay-for-performance market. Existing products and services will remain fully operational and supported as the two companies complete the integration of their operations.

Commission Junction is headquartered in Santa Barbara, CA with U.S. offices in New York, NY, Marlborough, MA and Pittsburgh, PA, as well as its European office in London, U.K.
