A new forecast from Forrester Research credits greater online spending by Canadians, lower shipping costs and more selection for the spending increase.
Apple Computer Inc. led in number of unique visitors to computer hardware manufacturers` sites for the week ended Dec. 14, with 4.4 million, 61% more than second-ranked Hewlett-Packard Co., Nielsen/NetRatings reports.

Following in a distant fourth place was Gateway Inc.’s Gateway.com, with 689,000 visitors. Next was Bose.com, with 506,000.
For the same week, the product category of books, movies and music garnered the most online advertising impressions, with 534.7 million, according to Nielsen’s AdRelevance report.
