Two brands capture 4 of top 5 spots in apparel and beauty rankings

EBay Inc. captured the No. 1 and 2 spots in apparel/beauty destinations for the week ending Nov. 30 for U.S. Internet users shopping from home, while Gap Inc. captured No. 3 and 4, reports Nielsen/NetRatings.

EBay Inc. captured the No. 1 and 2 spots in apparel/beauty destinations for the week ending Nov. 30 for U.S. Internet users shopping from home, while Gap Inc. captured No. 3 and 4, reports Nielsen/NetRatings.

EBay`s clothing, shoes and accessories section hosted 2.8 million unique visitors that week while eBay’s jewelry and watches section hosted 1.25 million. No. 3 in the apparel and beauty category was Gap Inc.’s OldNavy.com at 866,000 unique visitors, followed by TheGap.com at 749,000. No. 5 was VictoriasSecret.com at 564,000. Total unique audience to all apparel and beauty sites was 11.9 million.

Nielsen/NetRatings also reported the top consumer goods segment by ad impressions at home and work in the U.S. for the week ending Nov. 30. The top segments and impressions were:
Food and beverage, 543.4 million
Apparel and jewelry, 297.3 million
Personal care, 177.6 million
Print publishing, 128.5 million
Toy and hobby, 57.6 million
Home and garden, 45.6 million
No segment, 20.8 million
Automotive supply, 14 million
Recreational gear, 12.2 million
