Online consumer spending rises 28%

Online consumer spending, including travel, rose 28% for the week ended Sun., June 8, comScore Networks reports.

For the week ended Sun., June 8, online consumer spending totaled $1.655 billion, up 28% from $1.304 billion in the year-ago period, comScore Networks Inc. reports.

 

Excluding travel, online consumer spending rose 11%, to $811 million from $723 million. Online consumer spending on travel alone rose 50%, to $854 million from $581 million, comScore says.
