GXS` Outsourcing Solutions Used to Meet Retail Trading Partners` Requirements

CHICAGO, IL Retail Systems Show--June 10, 2003--Global eXchange Services, Inc. (GXS) today announced three new AS2 Outsourcing Service clients including, Blueberry Hill Foods, Inc., Hubert Industries, and Plante International. GXS` AS2 Outsourcing Service enables companies of all sizes to transact with their suppliers or customers over the Internet using the EDIINT AS2 standard. Various retailers have mandated that their suppliers transmit documents using the AS2 standard, which presents the affected businesses with numerous challenges to overcome, including server availability and bandwidth, security concerns and digital certificate management.

In an effort to automate transactions, major retailers including Wal-Mart, Home Depot, Inc. and Lowe`s Company, Inc. have required that their suppliers use EDIINT AS2 data transmission protocol. Retailers and their trading partners are facing additional pressures in the form of compliance with the Sunrise 2005 initiative to create a global uniform system for labeling products and compliance with data synchronization initiatives.
