Now Merchants Can Easily and Cost-Effectively Launch an Online Webstore
CHICAGO, IL, May 19, 2003 – Moneris Solutions, one of North America`s largest electronic transaction processors, and GLS Global Assets Ltd. (GLO-TSX Venture) today announced a joint e-commerce solution to enable North American merchants to build a website and accept credit card payments from their customers. The joint solution consists of GLS Global`s e-commerce product, eStorebuilder 5.0, and Moneris Solutions` merchant account services. GLS Global recently launched eStorebuilder 5.0 to enable an individual or merchant to inexpensively establish a business presence on the Internet. eStorebuilder 5.0, available off the shelf or online from www.glsglobal.com, allows the merchant to build a website and sell products or services without the need for a programmer.
In addition, this robust system allows thousands of products to be displayed and allows the merchant to obtain a merchant account for acceptance of credit card payments from their online customers. Merchants can also easily add e-commerce capability to an existing website.
To make the website payment enabled, Moneris Solutions will deliver payment gateway services with Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) 128-bit encryption and an e-commerce merchant account for real-time processing of credit card transactions. Moneris enables online businesses to accept all major credit cards, including MasterCard®, Visa®, AMEX®, Discover®, Diners®, or JCB®.
