Hannaford Bros. Co. Expands Product Selection with Addition of New On-Line Service

NORTH BRUNSWICK, NJ, May 19, 2003 --neXpansion announced today that Hannaford Bros. Co., an operator of 119 stores in Maine, New Hampshire, New York, Vermont, and Massachusetts, will leverage the company`s Endless Aisle technology to expand its product assortment via the web. The service will be custom branded under the name "At Your Request."

Customers shopping the At Your Request service will have easy online access to more than 30,000 items not carried in Hannaford`s retail stores. The broad assortment available to shoppers will include a wide selection of ethnic and specialty foods, baby care and beauty products, special dietary needs, natural and organic items, pet supplies, housewares, and gifts. If customers are seeking a product that they can`t find in their local Hannaford store, they can look to the online At Your Request service to provide it.

Hannaford customers will find a link to At Your Request at www.hannaford.com. Simple on-screen instructions will enable shoppers to either search for a specific item or browse the wide selection of non-perishable food items and general merchandise products. For added convenience, the At Your Request service delivers purchases straight to the customer`s home. And, if a customer is unable to locate a specific product through the At Your Request service, they can fill out an on-line request form, and neXpansion will work to find the item and provide a response within 10 business days.

"We are always exploring ways to better satisfy our customers. The At Your Request service is an easy and convenient way for our shoppers to find unique and specialty products. It`s a terrific complement to our in-store offerings," said Mark Doiron, Vice President, Non-Perishable Merchandising for Hannaford.

"We are pleased to provide Hannaford Bros. Co. and its customers with all of the wonderful advantages of our Endless Aisle technology," said Lisa Kent, president and CEO of neXpansion. "At Your Request not only offers customers a significantly expanded selection of products, it provides Hannaford with a cost-effective solution so that it will never have to turn away a loyal customer`s request."
