Buy.com launches new electronics store and adds 2,500 products

Buy.com’s expansion is the result of an agreement with a new distributor and expanded relationships with brand manufacturers.

Buy.com Inc. has expanded its electronics store, adding 2,500 home and mobile electronics products, the company announced today. The expansion is the result of an agreement with a new distributor and expanded relationships with a number of Buy’s top brand manufacturers.

The new distributor will provide Buy.com with an expanded selection of consumer electronics products and will act as distributors for those purchases. Among the brands that Buy will offer are Sanyo, Harmon Kardon, Panasonic, JVC, Sharp, Samsung, JBL, Monster Cable and Audiovox. Buy.com says it has also expanded its relationship and product offering with current manufacturers such as RCA, Philips and Toshiba.

"We are always striving to offer our customers a wider variety of products from the best known brands in the business," said Robert Price, president of Buy.com. "This new agreement, and our recently expanded agreements with our current distributors, will bring over 2,500 new products to our electronics store, especially in the television category." The new electronics store offers more than double the previous selection of direct view, flat panel projection and plasma TVs.
