Year-over-year online sales remain flat first week in April

Online retail sales totaled $819 million for the week ending April 6, virtually unchanged from $817 million for the same week the year earlier, comScore reports.

Online retail sales totaled $819 million for the week ending April 6, virtually unchanged from $817 million for the same week the year earlier, comScore Networks Inc.’s Media Metrix division reports.

Consumers turned to offline shopping for the week, according to ShopperTrak’s National Retail Sales Estimate for the week ending April 5. Total retail sales that week rose 11.1% vs. the same week last year.

Online travel sales for the week ending April 6 grew 19% to $750 million from $632 million the same week last year, comScore reports.
