With 900% growth in 18 months, NexTag reaches 6th quarter of profits

Shopping comparison web site NexTag says its traffic increased 900% for the 18 months from June 2001 to December last year and reports its sixth consecutive quarter of profitability with the quarter that ended March 31.

Traffic at shopping comparison web site NexTag Inc. grew more than 450% last year, including 3.5 million unique visitors in December, NexTag reported today. NexTag says its traffic increased 900% for the 18 months from June 2001 to December last year. The company also reported its sixth consecutive quarter of profitability with the quarter that ended March 31.

"NexTag was one of the first companies in the shopping search category to reach profitability," said Purnendu Ojha, CEO of NexTag. "Our financial track record firmly establishes the company as a leader. "

Nielsen//NetRatings, which measures Internet traffic and use, says NexTag is the largest source of traffic to technology retailers.
