E.PIPHANY APPOINTS SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT OF WORLDWIDE MARKETING

Company Strengthens Management Team with Veteran Marketing Executive

SAN MATEO, Calif. - March 31, 2003 - E.piphany, Inc. (Nasdaq: EPNY), a full-suite provider of customer relationship management (CRM) software, today announced that it has named Ellen Olson the company`s senior vice president of worldwide marketing. Olson will be responsible for all aspects of E.piphany`s worldwide marketing efforts, including corporate marketing, product marketing and management, lead generation, and strategic marketing programs, which includes partner and customer initiatives.

Olson has more than twenty years of experience as a senior marketing executive in the enterprise software industry. Prior to joining E.piphany, Olson served as vice president of marketing at MarketFirst Software and Delano Technology. Prior to that, Olson ran a successful marketing consulting business where she created and implemented marketing initiatives for several early-stage software companies. Olson`s ten plus years at Informix Software included senior executive positions in corporate marketing, product marketing, international operations, strategic alliances, business development, customer service and product development. Olson played an instrumental role in establishing Informix`s presence in the emerging Latin America market. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from St. Olaf College in Northfield, MN.
