Joins Standards Committee; Targets Applications in Inventory and Supply Chain
Salt Lake City, March 18, 2003 -- Tomax Corporation is pleased to announce its expanding support for radio frequency identification technology. Ken Pink will join the U.S. Standards Board for RFID. Pink, the Vice President of Software Development at Tomax, will help develop RFID technologies and standards to help retailers and suppliers benefit from this emerging technology.
The adoption and support for RFID technology is an important and difficult undertaking for software vendors. In order to truly realize this technology’s remarkable potential, inventory must be tracked at the individual item level. This demands an efficient means to serialize inventory to correlate each item to a unique identifier. Tomax has devoted significant resource at the data model level to create an efficient means to accomplish this daunting task. "We have a lot of work to do, but it’s a promising new frontier," says Pink. "We look forward to working to make this vision a reality for retail."

Forward Looking Statements
The ability of retailers to fully and successfully deploy the Retail.net applications that utilize radio frequency identification technology is uncertain and dependent on various factors outside of the control of Tomax, including, but not limited to adoption of RFID technology and specific implementation environments.
