All retail sales for the week ending Feb. 15 posted hefty 9.3% growth over the same week a year ago, ShopperTrak’s National Retail Sales Estimate reports. That’s the strongest sales growth since the end of August, ShopperTrak says. But the optimistic sales results were undone by the snowstorm that hit the Northeast President’s Day weekend, Shopper Trak says, with sales in the Northeast falling 6% on Saturday from the year before, then 20% and 55% on Sunday and Monday.

Online travel spending experienced robust 34% growth for the week ending Feb. 16, reaching $608 million, comScore reported.
