This ability to "close the loop" will bring Cognos Series 7 Version 2 users closer to true business activity monitoring. "The business intelligence systems and deployments are now mission critical applications of leading enterprises. The requirements for a broad set of end user capabilities across the web are now critical for all organizations," said Mark Smith, CEO and SVP Research, Ventana Research. "Cognos Series 7 Version 2 addresses enterprise requirements through enhancements to the platform and end user capabilities of the suite through new zero footprint Web capabilities. The enhancements in guided analysis and what if capabilities are just part of the new capabilities in Cognos Series 7 Version 2 that includes capabilities like data integration, reporting and analysis, event detection and notification, visualization and score-carding capabilities."
Providing a Web-optimized solution that serves up information to rapidly growing extended enterprises without performance bottlenecks, Cognos Series 7 Version 2 also offers:
- Streamlined Web user interface for OLAP analysis optimal for mission-critical Intranet and Extranet environments;
- Highly scalable enterprise reporting via zero-footprint, formatted HTML; customized status reports delivered for viewing in HTML, as well as all the other previously available formats;
