New CEO and EVP to Lead Growing Product Content Management Company

MINNEAPOLIS, MN, January 28, 2002 – Virtucom Content Solutions, Inc., a provider of product content management services to businesses that rely on accurate and compelling product-related content to drive sales, today announced the appointment of Mike Chappuis to Chief Executive Officer and Mike Goodman to Executive Vice President, Sales and Marketing.

Chappuis will provide strategic and operational leadership to the growing company. “Mike’s experience directing and managing e-service and technology companies will further Virtucom’s role as a provider of high-quality, low-cost product content management, delivering a superior return on investment to our clients,“ says company Founder and Chairman Mike Jacobs. Prior to joining Virtucom in January 2002, Chappuis held executive positions at HealthNexis, SPS Commerce, Control Data Corporation and Martin Marietta where he successfully built both new and established businesses.

Goodman will drive sales and marketing initiatives to the company’s retail, e-tail, distribution and manufacturing clients. “Mike Goodman’s promotion recognizes his ongoing contributions to our strategic direction and his role as a leader within the company,” says Chappuis, Virtucom’s CEO. “His experience will be invaluable as we continue to provide superior service to our expanding client list.” Prior to joining Virtucom, Goodman, who until recently served as the company’s Vice President of Sales, was Senior Vice President of Sales at KB Gear Interactive and a Divisional Vice President and General Manager at Mattel, Inc. While at Mattel, Goodman grew the CreativeWonders division into a $70 million entity.

Virtucom’s clients depend on accurate, timely and compelling product content to drive in-store, online and catalog sales. To be competitive today, retailers, distributors and manufacturers must provide their customers not only with content that is directly related to a product - price, color, dimensions, etc. - but also content that helps customers learn about, evaluate and choose products, such as buying and “how to” guides.

Virtucom offers a full range of content management services including content strategy, process and workflow consulting, content acquisition, production, delivery and maintenance. As an outsourcer, Virtucom offers an efficient, high-quality alternative to in-house content solutions and expensive content management tools, ensuring clients receive a maximum return on their investment.

“Product content management is a complicated, time-consuming task. Multiple information sources, processes and technologies must be addressed to create consistent, accurate product content that reflects clients’ unique brands and offerings across multiple channels” says Chappuis. “Virtucom offers a flexible, scalable set of services to solve product content challenges regardless of the technology, processes and relationships currently in place.”
