BURBANK, Calif. (Oct. 22, 2002) – The Baby Einstein Company, a world leader in developmental media products for babies and toddlers, announced this week the launch of its new business-to-business online store – created specifically for retailers with up to three store locations. This convenient online depot, linked to the recently redesigned consumer Baby Einstein Web site (www.babyeinstein.com), streamlines the buying process and provides easy, direct, round-the-clock purchasing power for local independent retailers.

"We understand the demands on the independent specialty retailers. Our business-to-business site saves time and money, and helps streamline basic business practices for qualified retailers – something we know many of them seek," said Darren Seidel, director of finance and business development. "Our goal is to make all of our products readily available– any time, any day – at their convenience. In doing so, we can help fulfill their needs in meeting demand for our products from parents and gift-givers who frequent their stores looking for Baby Einstein products."

The registration process is quick and easy, making it possible for any community retailer to sign up. Retailers can then benefit from wholesale pricing; promotional and special offers tailored to independent boutiques; a personal home-page detailing historical purchasing activity (including cost and product selection) to assist with record/bookkeeping; overnight fulfillment; and insight into what other stores are purchasing from the site, among others.

"Retailers will have access to all product titles and information from The Baby Einstein Company as well as to the consumer portion of the site, enabling them to advise their customers on current and future products as well as to what other moms and dads are saying about Baby Einstein," continued Seidel.

The consumer side of BabyEinstein.com provides parents and caregivers with more in-depth brand and product information, including timely updates on new products and interactive product demos. Visitors can preview the entire line of videos, DVD’s, audio CDs and books. Because parents frequently look to others for recommendations, the new site also includes product testimonials from moms and dads and invites others to share their own Baby Einstein experiences. A range of unique, Web-exclusive gift sets and gift certificates round out the offering. For more information visit the site at www.babyeinstein.com.
