Yahoo! Offers Bargain Shoppers an Early Start on Holiday Shopping

SUNNYVALE, CA – October 3, 2002 – Building on the success of the first-ever Biggest Sale in Internet History in March 2002, Yahoo! Inc. (Nasdaq: YHOO), a leading global Internet company, will host the Biggest Fall Sale in Internet History (http://bigsale.yahoo.com), from Sun., Oct. 6 through Wed., Oct. 9, 2002.

By leveraging its strong relationships with brand name retailers, specialty stores and travel suppliers, as well as some of its own services, Yahoo!’s Biggest Fall Sale in Internet History will provide consumers with thousands of discounted items and services over four days, in one convenient location. With the holiday season right around the corner, this innovative marketing program will offer consumers the chance to get an early start on their holiday shopping and help drive transactions and traffic for Yahoo!’s retailers and partners.

The enthusiastic consumer response to March’s Biggest Sale resulted in record week-over-week sales increases for many merchants and travel suppliers, with almost all, and hundreds more, participating in the upcoming Biggest Fall Sale.
