Talbots debuts its men’s line on the web

Talbots Inc. is debuting its new Talbots Men product line on its web site today, ahead of the mailing of a 24-page Talbots Men catalog next week.

Talbots Inc. is debuting its new Talbots Men product line on its web site today, ahead of the mailing of a 24-page Talbots Men catalog next week. Talbots Men is the retailer’s first new line since 1998. Talbots is known for its classically styled women’s and children’s clothing.

The launch via web and catalog will be followed by a more comprehensive product line next spring, when Talbots plans to begin opening Talbots Men stores, six in 2003 and six in 2004.

The catalog will have an initial circulation of 750,000, primarily to existing Talbots customers. The target audience for menswear is 35-55 years old, college educated, professionally employed, married and living in the suburbs.
