KB Toys will become the toy provider at Sears.com

Under an expanded agreement with Sears, KB Toys will bring 2,500 new toys to Sears.com and 900 to the Sears Christmas catalog. In addition, KB Toys will sell brands that had not been available at Sears.com before.

KB Toys, which operates the toy department of 29 Sears, Roebuck and Co. stores under a test, is expanding its role at Sears and will be the toy provider for Sears.com and the Sears Christmas catalog. The two retailers also are expanding the in-store test to 77 stores.

The agreement will bring 2,500 new toys to Sears.com and 900 to the catalog. In addition, KB Toys will sell brands that had not been available at Sears.com before, including Radio Flyer, LeapFrog and Neurosmith.

KB Toys will provide fulfillment services for toy and video game purchases through the Sears Wish Book and sears.com through its fulfillment center in Blairs, VA. Sears will continue to manage all other aspects of the catalog and sears.com, including customer service, order processing, catalog distribution and site production and design.
