FinishLine.com was offline briefly over the weekend after a tornado hit Finish Line Inc.’s corporate headquarters and distribution center in Indianapolis on Friday. Finish Line said no one was hurt.

Finish Line’s web site was back up by Sunday afternoon. While the company says it is prohibited by the insurance investigation from discussing details, Kevin Flynn, senior vice president of marketing, says the site was down due to loss of power. The server, which is housed at the headquarters location, was not damaged, he says. Finish Line is able to fulfill web site orders, he says.

The distribution center sustained most of the damage while the corporate offices, which are connected to the facility, suffered only minor damage. The company says it expects the distribution center and corporate office will be operational in less than a week.

Finish Line says it is working with vendors to replenish the damaged merchandise and will operate a temporary warehouse and distribution facility if necessary.
