American Standard showers shoppers with design choices online

American Standard Companies Inc., designer and manufacturer of bathroom and plumbing products, is deploying interactive technology from Scene7 Inc. to allow consumers to create customized bathrooms online at AmericanStandard-US.com.

Customers will be able to choose from 30 products for bathrooms. The bathroom planning tool uses technology from Scene7`s proprietary Infinite Imaging Platform to let consumers lay out detailed, two-dimensional room plans. Features include drag-and-drop adjustment of walls and one-click additions of products, including toilets, sinks, whirlpools, bathtubs, showers and structural elements. The Plan Your Room tool also allows consumers to add sized-to-scale fixtures to their rooms. Scene7`s smart object orientation will place items in the correct orientation when moved.

Customers can then re-size and print bathroom templates to bring to an American Standard dealer or retailer.
