Brookstone Inc. is extending its electronic retailing reach with an agreement to sell over the Brands Shopping Channel, a TV network being put together by Brands Shopping Network Inc. Brands Shopping Channel expects to launch on cable and satellite systems later this year.

Brookstone products will be featured in 30-minute programs. Brookstone will notify customers of show times, topics and where to find the Brookstone series through the company`s stores, catalogs and Web site. Brookstone operates Brookstone.com, 248 retail stores and the Brookstone, Hard-to-Find Tools and Gardeners Eden catalogs.

"Cable and satellite are the fastest growing mediums on television and offer a tremendous opportunity for Brookstone to reach new and existing customers," said Michael Anthony, chairman, chief executive officer and president of Brookstone. "The feature-oriented format of the Brands Shopping Channel will strengthen the Brookstone brand by creating a medium where we can communicate one-on-one with our customers, just like we do in our stores."

Brands Shopping Channel also recently signed agreements with jewelry site Ice.com and camera retailer RitzCamera.com.
