FTD.com’s orders grow 45% for Mother’s Day

Order volume for Mother’s Day grew 45% this year over last at FTD.com. FTD considers the Mother’s Day buying season to extend from April 29 through May 13.

 

Order volume for Mother’s Day grew 45% this year over last at FTD.com, the company reported today. FTD considers the Mother’s Day buying season to extend from April 29 through May 13.

While fresh flowers continued to be the most popular gift for Mother’s Day, sales of FTD.com’s specialty gifts, including gourmet gift baskets, aromatherapy candle, bath and beauty products, home décor products and garden products increased 161% over the prior year.

"FTD.com had a great Mother`s Day holiday and we continue to be pleased with the company`s tremendous growth," said Michael Soenen, president and CEO of FTD.com. "Additionally, I am very pleased with the performance of our specialty gift business. We look forward to continuing to expand and strengthen our product offerings in this area."
