3-D image presentation gets the luxury treatment from LVMH

Luxury goods manufacturer and seller Louis Vuitton Moet Hennesy is adopting 3-D technology from Viewpoint Corp. for product presentation on its web sites. Dior will display a wide array of women’s fashions in 3-D.

Luxury goods manufacturer and sellers Louis Vuitton Moet Hennesy is adopting 3-D technology from Viewpoint Corp. for product presentation on its web sites, New York-based Viewpoint announced today.

LVMH will use the Viewpoint technology to showcase its brands including Louis Vuitton, TAG Heuer, Zenith Watches and Christian Dior Couture.

Christian Dior Couture plans an extensive deployment of Viewpoint’s ZoomView product as a part of the re-design of its women`s fashion site. Dior will present ready-to-wear, leather goods, shoes, accessories and fine jewelry in the ZoomView format.

ZoomView format licenses start at $10 a month per online image, Viewpoint says. It is also available as a native, direct export from Adobe Photoshop 7.0.
