The growing demand for e-catalogs

E-catalogs are gaining wider acceptance among retailers, according to Mobular Technologies, which is preparing to launch a dozen such catalogs.

E-catalogs are gaining wider acceptance among retailers, according to Mobular Technologies, a Huntsville, AL-based company that provide e-catalogs through e-mail systems. Mobular tells InternetReatiler.com that it is getting ready to launch e-catalogs for a dozen undisclosed companies.

Most recently, Mobular Technologies Inc. launched an e-mail catalog for water sports dealer Overton’s. The company says its results from prior campaigns have helped fuel interest in the e-mail catalog medium. Prior retailers have reported 16% conversion rates on e-catalogs opened. And on average, users took 6.25 actions per e-catalog opened, which amounts to viewing just over six pages of merchandise.
