Sharper Image has a great March, including a 37% gain in web sales

Total sales for March increased 30% to $30 million from last March`s $23 million, Sharper Image reports. Internet sales, excluding auction sales, increased 37%.

 

Sales boomed at Sharper Image Corp. in March, including a 37% gain in web sales, the company reported today.

Total sales for March increased 30% to $30 million from last March`s $23 million. Internet sales, excluding auction sales, increased 37%. Internet sales, including auction sales, increased 18% to $4 million from last March`s $3.4 million. Sharper Image last year moved its auction sales from its site to eBay. March total store sales increased 31% to $17.5 million from $13.3 million; comparable store sales increased 18%. Catalog sales increased 35% to $8.5 million from last March`s $6.3 million.

Sales through the first two months of the company`s fiscal year increased 33% to $57 million from last year`s $42.9 million. Internet sales, excluding auction sales, increased 41%. Internet sales, including auction sales, increased 20% to $7.6 million from last year`s $6.3 million. Total store sales increased 24% to $32.2 million from $25.9 million; comparable store sales increased 12%. Catalog sales of $17.2 million were a 61% increase over the prior year`s $10.7 million.
