Just weeks after rolling out to most of Southern California and days after making home shopping available to customers in Portland, OR, Albertson’s is making online grocery shopping available to 180 ZIP codes in the San Francisco area, starting next Monday.

Albertsons.com now serves more than 700 zip codes in California, Oregon and Washington. The expansion area will serve customers in Santa Clara, San Mateo, San Francisco, Alameda and Contra Costa counties.

To promote the service, Alberstons.com is offering free delivery on their first order to customers who sign up for the service before March 18.

Albertson’s charges $9.95 for delivery and $4.95 for store pick-up of orders. Online orders placed by 10 a.m. will be available for pick-up after 5 p.m. the same day; orders placed by midnight will be delivered or available for pick up the following day.
