KB Toys names new EVP to oversee web site, stores

KB Toys names Mark Scott EVP, merchandising, inventory management, store operations and marketing for the stores, KBtoys.com and eToys.com.

KB Toys has named Mark Scott executive vice president for merchandising, inventory management, store operations and marketing for KB Toys stores, KBtoys.com and eToys.com. He will be responsible for store profitability and optimizing KB Toys’ supply chain.

Scott had been senior vice president, strategic services for XOR Inc., a Chicago-based internet consulting firm. Prior to XOR, Scott was president of Sportmart Inc., executive vice president of merchandising and marketing for The Bombay Co. and vice president of merchandising and stores for both Mark Cross and Gucci America.

Scott succeeds Sal Vasta who has been appointed executive vice president of strategic business development. Vasta will be responsible for cultivating and implementing new business initiatives and growth strategies as well as furthering existing relationships with Sears, Roebuck and Co., Safeway Inc. and QVC Inc.
